I thought I would write my first blog entry on this site to get the ball rolling.

I've been studying Chinese for about a year now, and I have a long way to go! However, I've learned a few things about studying Chinese (Simplified / Mandarin), and I hope, if you are just starting, I can provide some useful tips.
